ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop and practica is primarily for beginners, but we will give intermediate dancers additional ideas to work with. During the practica, you can dance with your fellow students and the instructors will give one on one help.
You do not need a partner to take our classes or have any previous dance experience. We switch partners during the class and make sure that everyone gets plenty of dance time.
We recommend that everyone wear closed-toe shoes that fit your feet comfortably and snugly, preferably with leather bottoms that allow you to pivot easily.
Today, Tango is danced socially in practically every major city in the world. During this workshops, we'll focus on teaching a social style of tango which will enable our students to dance anywhere in the world, from Buenos Aires to Paris to Atlanta. Also, this workshop will focus on basic concepts such as the Embrace, Walking in Parallel and Crossed Foot, leading the cross, Ochos, simple turns and floorcraft.
